    Cook Time8 hours
    Ingredients
    • 2oz butter
    • 1each white onionfinely sliced
    • 14oz canned beef consomma
    • 1small carrotjulienned
    • 1/2stalk celerysliced thinly on the diagonal
    • 1/2small parnsipjulienned
    • salt and seasoned pepper blend
    • 2teaspoons brandy
    • 1/4cup parsleyor chives, chopped
    Instructions
    1. In a skillet, melt the butter and saute the onion until soft.
    2. Add the onion to slow cooker with 1 cup water and all remaining ingredients except brandy and parsley or chives. Simmer for 8 hours on low, ready for serving at dinner.
    3. Add brandy and serve garnished with parsley or chives.
