- 2oz butter
- 1each white onionfinely sliced
- 14oz canned beef consomma
- 1small carrotjulienned
- 1/2stalk celerysliced thinly on the diagonal
- 1/2small parnsipjulienned
- salt and seasoned pepper blend
- 2teaspoons brandy
- 1/4cup parsleyor chives, chopped
- In a skillet, melt the butter and saute the onion until soft.
- Add the onion to slow cooker with 1 cup water and all remaining ingredients except brandy and parsley or chives. Simmer for 8 hours on low, ready for serving at dinner.
- Add brandy and serve garnished with parsley or chives.
