My paternal grandmother's first cousin was Ignazio Silone, the Italian Hemingway and a contemporary of Papa, who was one of, if the greatest antifascist novelists in history. A lot of my friends want me to write a story about my family's fight during the Resistance against Mussolini and Hitler but really Ignazio was the master of that genre.
