#Horror Review: Gate 4 - The Eater by Terry M. West (@TerryMWest)

Gate 4: The Eater is the first instalment in a new serialized novel by Terry M. West, a story gathers characters (and monsters) from his other works to create a monstrous sort of Suicide Squad. Normally I would hold off on reading such a novel until it's finished, or at least until there's a bundle of the first few instalments available, but I'm a big enough fan of Terry's that I wanted to get in on the ground floor.

In terms of plot, don't expect a lot out of this first instalment. It's an introduction to the characters, a set-up of the overarching concept, and a tease of what's to come. That said, it's a interesting tale with a lot of atmosphere, some genuine chills, and more than enough mystery to make you want to keep reading.

What is Gate 4, you might ask? Fair question, but what you should really be asking is what's on the other side, and what does Paul know about putting it there.
