Finding Mr. Right

Needs work but I will continue editing this until its done.

Finding Mr. Right
I woke up to the text on my tiny white Samsung Phone. "Goodmorning Beautiful" was all it said. It was from the man I had met the night before, as a spur of the moment, lets meet after we had been texting for a couple weeks. He was tall, had kind eyes, dark hair, and a mustache. My first thought when he Walked in to the brightly colored music shop at the Mall was “Oh my gosh, He is so tall.” There have only been three other men in my life that are taller than six foot four.
After I got over my initial shock of his height, I shook his hand and said “Hello”. After a brief introduction of my two friends, who had come with me to meet this man, we all began looking through the DVDs that were on a rack in front of us. The DVDs were random and varied from Fragle Rock to The Hulk to Psych.
Eventually it was suggested that we walk around the mall, my friends nudged me to walk next to him, while my face turned beet red. Nerves already fried I just did what they were trying to get me to do and he tried to start a conversation with me. But I wouldn’t talk to him. I don’t know what was wrong with me because I am not usually quiet. My friends decided it would be a good idea to leave me alone with him to wonder the 2 story mall.
“I will get you to talk to me,” he said, as I giggled and continued to follow him. We walked along the second story of the mall and then down the escalator to the first floor. Many minutes passed with a conversational silence, as we continued to walking by many colorful shop windows, stores ranging from a Macy’s Christmas Store to Victoria’s Secret this mall had everything.
“Oh the Disney Store! I love Disney!” I said.
We walked into the store and made a full circle around the store looking at the coffee cups, stuffed animals, and movies. We stopped when I noticed the little mermaid section. Picking up a Christmas tree ornament I noticed that my hands were uncontrollably shaking, I had not realized I was that nervous. On the drive to meet him I was steady, sang a few songs to the radio in my car, while my friend who sat in the back seat smoked and my other friend asked a few times if I was okay.
“The little mermaid is my favorite princess,” I said.
He simply replied, “cool.”
The two friends who had left me alone earlier were in the store, ducking down behind the shelves, trying not to be seen. They wanted to check on me and make sure everything was going well, I had no idea they were there and neither did he.
The man and I continued our walk around the mall, going into Hot Topic, and a Sports Fan shop. We joked about Florida and UGA, since he loves one and I love the other. The great rivalry begins, screaming at games while watching my little brother on the field would be fun with this man I might start dating.
While we joked and laughed and flirted, I began realizing that there was defiantly something there, like a spark, some potential that this could, would, work out. I knew it was too early to tell what would happen, but I began to hope. It’s just about time for Mr. Right to show up in my life.
After we were done looking around in the Sports Fan, we sat down on a bench just outside of the store. I could only think of what my friends would ask after tonight. They texted me asking if I was okay, if I wanted more time with him, I replied yes I was fine, more time would be nice.
He showed me his Droid smart phone and the hundreds of songs he had on it. We discussed music and found out that we both enjoyed many different genres. Handing me his phone so I could look through the music, I accidently moved my index finger down the screen way to fast and it caused the phone to scroll down to some random song I had never heard before.
He had mentioned earlier in the day, when we were still just discussing the possibility of meeting, that if we did he would have to leave at nine pm. Nine pm came and I asked if he needed to leave, he said he did not and asked if I needed to. Where else would I rather be than sitting on that bench with a very handsome man who was flirting with me?
Fifteen minutes later we had to say goodbye, the gates were closing on most of the store fronts around us, as we walked to the entrance of the mall we stole the last few glances, hugged, said goodbye, and he rubbed my shoulder while telling me he would text me when he got home.
I walked outside where my friends were waiting and was bombarded with the question, “So did you kiss him?”
