Her Last Lie

I wish I could say Her Last Lie by Amanda Brittany was the best but maybe I’m little jaded. It wasn’t bad, I’m not saying that, and when I Finished it I was truly impressed but nowthinking back while I’m trying to write a review I can barely remember how I felt when I finished it. On the other hand I am having trouble concentrating and sleeping and I’ve got a lot going on right now, so to be fair that may be coloring my opinion as well.

I can say that the ending really did surprise me. I’m not going to give that away, you’ll just have to read it for yourself, but it was quite the twist not only in the resolution but in the character development of Jack. (I probably said too much already;) )

Summary

Isla has had to go through things no one should ever have to deal with or live through and she has survived and finally is overcoming the obstacles the past events had given her.

But after a chance meeting and a trip abroad Isla seems to be deteriorating and falling into a depressive pattern. Things, strange things, seem to be happening and she wonders if the horrors of her past are coming after her.

Soon she is to go abroad again so she can finish up her travel photography Book and hopes that a little space could help her frame of mind. Little does she know, you can’t always outrun the past. Will she even have a future with her family, best friends and the one man that has brought her peace.

Okay so now that I’ve summarize Her Last Lie I am confident that I can say this book was good. If you are a fan of B.A. Paris then you will certainly enjoy this psychological thriller.

I am giving this book a fair 3.5 out of 5 stars. See I told you it was good. The ending is really what makes this book stand out to me. A little bit of the middle fodder is a bit redundant and this is what brings the score down but in the end it was worth the read.

So, booklings, if your in a thriller mood and want to get your psyche engaged pick up Her Last Lie.
