30 days wild is a challenge organized by the UK organization "The Wildlife Trusts". Participants are asked to "do something wild" every day of June and post about it on Social Media or on Blogs.
As you may have noticed, I already really love nature and go exploring as often as possible, so it seemed like a fun challenge to take on.
I'll try to do something wild this month every day. But I might not share it every day - it may get too much for you to keep up and at the moment it also would mean too much stress for me with the game development project phase soon coming up in university. But let's stop with the introduction and get to what I experienced yesterday! I'll keep it short, as I'm really eager to head out again (+ I may or may not have exams tomorrow).

On my way to the forest I passed this beautiful flower field, mainly consisting out of yarrows. I could hear and see a lot of insects buzzing and walking around there, it really felt like a little haven for wildlife. Among others I encountered this caterpillar and this pretty bug.

After taking some photos I continued in the direction of the forest, up until this little stream I usually need to cross. Here I noticed some really small fish swimming against the current. I think they are Sticklebacks, but I'm not 100% sure yet. Next time I want to try using my Pol-filter to remove some of the water reflections and get some shots of those little fellows.

After I jumped over the little stream, I noticed a small patch of moss and immiadetely got on the floor with my camera. It's hard to get enough of those little moss worlds, especially when they glow in the light of the setting sun like this.
As I touched it, I noticed how some tiny spores were flying away. I wonder if I can get a close shot of that some day using my macro rings, it must look fascinating.
The next thing I found, was a beautiful, active woodlouse on a nearby piece of dead wood.

They live off decaying plant material, so this probably was the perfect all-you-can eat dinner for this little woodlouse ^^

After I took enough photos of the little louse, I decided to go towards the setting sun, hoping to get some interesting light for my photos, and I wasn't disappointed. Besides other things I noticed a bright yellow coral mushroom.

I really love those! They look like tiny alien trees and there are really few other things in the forest that have such an intense orange/yellow color to them.
Nearby, I also found a treecave that had a little "lake" inside. I read in the book "Lebensraum Totholz" that those caves can be a hotspot for tiny wildlife, so I want to take a closer look at this one soon.

After a short look from the watchtower of the hunter, I decided to Walk Trough the cut down grounds, made for shooting, and see if they lead me back to a path. I noticed a lot of plants that are indicative of a more swampy, wet area, such as this alien-like spaghnum moss, but fortunately things had been dry enough the last days for me to walk trough.

I continued on my path, crossing the hallow of some pigs, were they usually can be found playing in the mud. However I was happy that they were not there this time, as this could have been dangerous, with their piglets maybe still being young enough for them wanting to defend them at all costs. But I was safe and it was a really nice walk trough the undergrowth, until I hit a path again.
The last photo I took was this photo of the last light of the sun, when I was almost out of the forest.

This was an eventful walk, where I saw a lot of tiny animals, from little fishes, to bugs, to an active woodlouse.
