Austin Metro Report: October 2017

The Zumper Austin Metro Report Analyzed Active Listings in September across 13 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Texas state median Rent was $900 last month.

Cities Ranked By Rent

The Most Expensive

–Austin, Brushy Creek, & Leander, TX tied for the most expensive city to rent with one bedrooms priced at $1,090.

–Hutto, TX had the second priciest rent at $1,030.

–Cedar Park, TX followed closely behind as third with rent at $1,020.

The Least Expensive

–San Marcos, TX rent remained the most affordable in the metro at $890.

–Jollyville & Georgetown, TX tied for the second least expensive city with rent at $950.

–Wells Branch, Round Rock, & Buda, TX all ranked as third with one bedrooms priced just under the $1,000 threshold at $990.

Growth Rate

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

–Leander, TX had the fastest growing rent since this time last year, up 13.5%.

–Kyle, TX ranked as second with rent climbing 12.2% since this time last year.

–Round Rock, TX had the third largest yearly growth rate, up 8.8%.
