Christmas parties in May, are you crazy?
On Thursday 5th May, the Christmas Connections team ventured up to a London Christmas party show to source the newest 2016 London Christmas parties for you!
Christmas parties aren’t just for December, in fact for a lot of people they’re a masterpiece that take the entire year to complete! Months and months of planning goes in to your end of year celebration. A lavish and exciting themed venue must be created, delicate and delicious canapés must be selected for your arrival, dazzling and stylish décor must be tried and tested, and the entertainment must be captivating and extravagant. Not an easy task to say the least.
The Christmas party convention took place at one of London’s most prestigious and central venues; 8 Northumberland Avenue. Even for us Christmas party organisers there’s an element of “strange” talking about Christmas parties in May. It didn’t take long to rekindle the Christmas party spirit though. On arrival we were instantly reminded of that December feeling we love and completely forgot that outside felt like the hottest day of the year! The walls and ceiling were coated in glamorous decorations to suit the enchanted forest theme and a fierce, festive polar bear (not a real one… of course) towered above us. Walking through the magic we soon entered the ballroom and discovered the purpose of our trip; the most beautiful and intriguing Christmas parties in all of London! The festive smells of turkey sandwiches and freshly baked mince pies entered our nostrils, and Michael Bublé’s Christmas classics were played lightly over the sound Christmas chatter.
Throughout the afternoon we discovered a whole array of stunningly exquisite 2016 London Christmas party venues including one building with a retractable roof, another with an ice bar for a wintry sensory experience and some of London’s most hidden (and iconic) gems! To complement the gorgeous surrounding imagery, we had a wealth of freebies in the forms of food and drink! Whether your company is after a sophisticated sit down dinner, a quirky and exciting theme or an evening with a little more practicality, London guarantees a Christmas party that you will remember.
After all of the party chit-chat, we made our way downstairs to conclude our visit to London with a few delightful cakey treats and a glass of wine. We also discovered THE BEST chocolate brownies and we cannot stop thinking about them… This is as close as we can get you to them…
