This blog is dedicated to giving you the inside info on CyprusLikeThis. The much needed website that was missing from the Cyprus Web.
We are now 2-3 weeks away from launching the website that can really help the Cyprus consumer to find his/her way around and the companies in Cyprus (small and big) to bring the consumers closer to them.
But, what IS CyprusLikeThis?
Well, let me explain by example. Have you ever wanted to buy something in Cyprus but did not know who provides this product/service? What did you do to find it? I'll tell you what I was doing and you tell me if it reminds you at all of what You were doing. I was looking on the web (mostly through Google), calling friends, parents, relatives, looking in magazines, newspapers and - most of the times - getting pissed off and giving up! Now, I am not referring to well known products or services like mobile phones, digital cameras, restaurants or hotels. I am referring to things like guitars, carpets, interior design, wedding services, tattoo, computer service and other products or services that are not so easy to find in Cyprus.
This is where CyprusLikeThis comes into play. It gives you the answer to this...much frustrating question:
You just enter what you want to find or buy in Cyprus and CyprusLikeThis will show you the companies that offer that product or service. It will also show you how to get there using videos, maps and directions. Now, that's cool!Where can I find ... in Cyprus?
How did we do that?
Well, for almost a year now, we certainly haven't been sitting around doing nothing. With a team of 15 people, all with various skills, we have been gathering information on companies in Cyprus, finding what they offer and organizing all this information. We have been developing the site and internal programs to handle the management of information. We have been working very hard so that Cyprus can at last have a site that it can depend on for reliable, unbiased information about who offers what in Cyprus. Just like this!
We are planning to open the site to the public around the middle of September.
