Wpromote was happy to host the Soroptimist International of Manhattan Beach for their annual Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls conference on Saturday, February 24, 2018. Soroptimist International seeks to empower young women with the tools and confidence to achieve their professional and personal dreams.
Forty young women came to a day packed with engaging content and skill development. Local female professionals led seven sessions on topics from exploring careers to creating achievable goals. Four of the volunteers included women from Wpromote’s RISE: Promoting Women committee, which provides tangible tools for women to empower themselves and evolve into strong industry thought leaders.

Lauren Scatena, a Business Development Representative and RISE member, thoroughly enjoyed the day:
“The Soroptimist event was a huge success. It was great seeing so many of the young girls participate and have the confidence to share personal aspects about themselves. Plus, the women who run the event are incredible and truly care about making a difference for these girls’ lives. I am so glad I could be a part of it!”
