The price for Litecoin (LTC), the sixth-largest crypto currency in terms of market capitalization, fell to a new low of 2018 on Wednesday.

The Bitfinex data show that the price has dropped to 97.04 US dollars, the lowest level since December 8 in 2017 and means a 74 percent decrease since its record level of $ 379 observed on December 19. And since the beginning of this year, the price of LTC has fallen by almost 60%.

The beginning of the decline in the price of LTC many analysts attributed to the fact that Charlie Lee, the founder of this crypto currency, said in a message to Reddit on December 20 that he sold all his savings in Litecoin.

EOS also fell by almost 9% over the past day, which made it the leader of the drop among top-end crypto-currencies. Other top-10 crypto-currencies also show negative dynamics for the last knock, but their fall rate is lower – about 3-5 percent for knocking.

Meanwhile, the total market capitalization of all crypto-currencies fell below $ 300 billion for the first time since April 12.
