Vitalik Buterin criticized the last patent nChain

The research company Nchain, which recently received a  patent  for an “invention in the field of digital security”, may lose it in court. In any case, the founder of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin called for this.

In his opinion, the technology of  deterministic key generation described in the patent  copies the model of invented in 2013 deterministic wallets based on public keys.

“Can someone sue them, as evidence, pointing out the obvious similarity with the old invention?” – he wrote on Twitter.

The developers themselves note that the set of block-tools created by them will not only provide reliable protection of private keys, but will also allow cross-border transfers through the so-called “Internet transactions”.

We add that the technology has already been recognized by the Japanese technological conglomerate SBI.

“SBI and nChain are working together to develop an advanced and secure next-generation crypto-currency wallets system, acting for the benefit of the Bitcoin Cash ecosystem,” said nChain CEO Jimmy Nguyen.

Recall that in April Vitalik Buterin and Craig Wright, who occupies the post of chief researcher in nChain, grappled with a Twitter-squabble due to the Bitcoin Cash promotional presentation. Then Buterin called Wright “a nuts scam .”
