Nchain announces plans to launch a full Bitcoin Cash node

On Thursday, August 16, the research firm Nchain officially announced the new implementation of a full Bitcoin Cash (BCH) crypto currency node in a work called Bitcoin SV (Satoshi’s Vision). Nchain reports that the full node client was developed at the request of the Coingeek pool mining and other BCH miners who support the “original vision” of Satoshi Nakamoto.

Quite recently, the news company Bitcoin reported on the opposition towards the development plan for Bitcoin ABC. It was further reported that one of the largest pools of BCH, Coingeek pools, weighed some of Bitcoin ABC’s proposals for a consensus change and added several proposed solutions.

Now, Nchain announces the introduction of a new full-scale implementation of the Bitcoin Cash network called Bitcoin SV, whose code base is aimed at “complete restoration of the original bitcoin protocol.” Coingeek founder Calvin Ayre believes that the miners must implement the innovations and details that Nchain designed for the new client.

Earlier it was reported that the creator of the Ethereum crypto currency, Vitalik Buterin, said that he would prefer to use Bitcoin Cash for daily payments, rather than ETH.

New implementation of the full Bitcoin Cash node

“Coingeek and the other miners asked Nchain to create a professional software implementation for the complete bitcoin node (for use in Bitcoin Cash), which restores the original protocol, ” explains Iire.

“Since the main mission of the project is to match the vision of the founder of the crypto currency, bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto, the project was named” Satoshi’s Vision “or SV,” Nchain said in a statement.

Bitcoin SV will have a 128-megabyte block size

Nchain says the roadmap is under development, but Bitcoin SV will initially be based on the Bitcoin ABC v0.17.2 code base. The Bitcoin SV code will be opened under the MIT license and will be available in the Github repository.

Nchain clarifies that the first version will be released for testing in the first week of September 2018. In addition to being similar to Bitcoin ABC v0.17.2, several changes will be made to support the upcoming BCH update in November.

Bitcoin SV will be headed by the lead developer of the client node, Daniel Connolly, who joined Nchain after 20 years of work in the IT department for United Nations agencies. Connolly made an anonymous contribution to Bitcoin’s code base for many years, and also contributed to the development of Bitcoin J-Cash.

Steve Shaders from Nchain will act as technical director for Bitcoin SV, and the team will also have a staff of 5 developers in C ++ and a number of business personnel.
