Be Our Guest Restaurant Review | Lunch and Dinner

Be Our Guest, Be Our Guest, Put our Service to the Test! Now that you have that song stuck in your head, let me share my Be Our Guest Resturant Review for you. I have gone for lunch and for Dinner and will be reviewing both in this post.

How to Get a Be Our Guest Restaurant Reservation

Be Our Guest is one of the more popular restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort and a reservation can be a little harder to get, but not impossible.

Reservations are needed both for the quick service breakfast and lunch, as well as for the table service dinner. Dining can be booked six months ahead of time. You can book either by the My Disney Experience App or by calling the Disney Dining Line directly. The easiest way to get a reservation is to book your vacation with an authorized Disney vacation planner and let them handle getting all your reservations for you. I suggest Addicted to Mickey Travel.

If you don’t see a reservation available at six months, don’t give up. Just keep checking the app. A lot of times reservations become available the week or night before as people drop their reservations so they are not charged the no-show fee.

Be Our Guest Lunch Review

Having a quick service meal at Be Our Guest is a different experience than having a quick service meal at any other quick service dining restaurant at Disney World. First, you need a reservation. Second, you have the option of ordering your meal before you even arrive. Third, servers bring your meal to you. Finally, you are Served on real plates, not paper ones.

I had the Croque Monsieur, which is basically a grilled ham and Gruyere cheese sandwich. It came with french fries. I thought it was really good. The sandwich was crisp and the flavors blended well together.

For dessert, I had the grey stuff cupcake. It was delicious and I actually liked it more than just the grey stuff by itself. At dinner, the grey stuff is served stand alone without the cupcake.

For lunch, I sat in the Rose room which has a giant rotating Beauty and the Beaut dancing in the middle of the room. The room has beautiful paintings all throughout the room depicting scenes from the movie.

Be Our Guest Dinner Review

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at the Be Our Guest this year. It is a pretty romantic restaurant so it was a perfect choice! Once checked in, I requested the west wing and though they said I had a wait a little bit longer, I was seated right away. You may not always get your room choice, but it is ok to ask.

The Cast Member who greets you hands you a Lumiere and guides you to your table. Sadly, they take Lumiere away so he isn’t dining with you.

My husband ordered the Sauteed Shrimp and Scallops. He enjoyed his meal and thought the dish was okay but not spectacular.

I ordered the Roasted Pork Tenderloin. I LOVED my dish! The pork was not as awesome as the pork dish I had at the California Grill, but it was still really good. The mashed cauliflower that came with it was amazing! I could have eaten so much of that. The cherry mustard sauce has a little sweet tartness to it and paired great with the pork. My husband wished he would have ordered what I did.

Most of the time the servers at table service restaurants are awesome. This time I was really disappointed. Our server seemed rushed and our food and dessert took forever. I saw many families come and go while we were waiting. Part of me didn’t mind as the West Wing is an amazing room, but after 90 minutes the atmosphere gets a little repetitive.

For dessert, we both had the lemon meringue cupcakes. At the very end of the meal and dessert, the server presented us with grey stuff for our anniversary. It was almost as if he forgot. We were tempted to decline because of our stretched out dining experience, but who can say no to the grey stuff?

Overall, the meal was fantastic even with the below par service. I would eat here again just to be able to eat in another room. The meal is more than just food and meeting the Beast it is submerging yourself in the movie you love.

Be Our Guest Dinner Character Meet and Greet

During the meal, the Beast appears a couple times just to wave hi as you are eating. After you have completed your meal you are welcome to visit with the Beast in the Library portion of the restaurant. It is set up more like a meet and greet line. You wait your turn and then get a picture with the Beast. A Photopass photographer is present so everyone can be in the picture.
