Etude House Personal Colour Palette Cool Tone Eyes – Must Have!

You know what the problem with many Korean eyeshadow palettes are? Bearing in mind I have used many?

That so many are just average. They sure look pretty but where is the pigment? Sure, Japanese brands don’t exactly make pigment rich eyeshadows but their have a gorgeous shimmer that is hard to compare.

Anyway I did feel the need to purchase this Etude House Personal Colour Palette because it contains 20 colours. There is a Warm and Cool variation and I would always always go for Warm HOWEVER that was sold out.  Since Cool was on a Black Friday offer I decided to buy it anyway or as Mr C calls it, ‘Stocking up for the next blog sale’ .

How many palettes of neutrals does one person need?  HOW MANY? Not that many.  But this is Cool and I don’t have many cool toned nudes.  This palette comes in a box.

All these shades come with names but seriously, who cares it’s not like you can buy them separately.

Here they are. There are various shades and textures.  The shades err in the plum/fawn cool toned family, I wouldn’t say it is totally completely utterly cool which might by why I like it.

This palette is not very glam it’s just plain white plastic but there is a big mirror which is great. No crappy applicator, thanks.

Each pan is only small but it’s enough.  The texture is very soft and crumbly, in fact I am sure dropping it would make half the powders fall out. So be careful! The glittery shades in particular are super soft.

Swatches:

From left to right:

C1 – Pale Beige, matte cream

C2 – Antique Coral – glittery pale pink

C3 – Pink Mousse – medium warm rose

C4 – Shiny Rose – medium pearl plum

C5 – Deep Wine – Deep plum purple

C6 – Tan Brown – Pearl cool brown

C7 – Chocolate Pudding – medium matte fawn

C8 – Dull Rose – Light matte grey pink

C9 – Dark Maple – Warm gold

C10 – Barrel Brown – Metallic gold dark chocolate

C11 – Greyish – Silvery grey

C12 – Greyish Violet – Medium slightly more sheer warmer grey

C13 – Cream Soda – Silvery shimmer pearl

C14 – Autumn Brown – Medium pearl rich chocolate

C15 – Dark Brown – Dark brown minimal pearl

C16 – Sugar Wine – Pinkish toned white pearl

C17 – Medium pearl rose

C18 – Purple Star – Deep plum with sparkles

C19 – Deep Brown – Deep chocolate warm toned shimmer

C20 – Cold brown – Medium warm pearly brown

Overall, these colours are great.  There isn’t any shade that is terribly pigmented, actually some are excellent.  There isn’t tons of variation between colours but there is more than enough to cover very natural to very dramatic looks.  I like the selection – it’s cooler than a warm palette but not too cool.  I’ve had this in my make up bag for a while and am still enjoying it.  I paid about £25 for it which is not bad!

You can get this here.  If I ever see the warm version I would be tempted to buy that too!
