Credit: Jim SheaNASCAR fans will get the chance to see The Doobie Brothers rockin' down the speedway when the band plays a special concert on Sunday, April 17, prior to the Food City 500 auto race in Bristol, Tennessee. The show will take place at Bristol Motor Speedway at 11:20 a.m. ET, with the race itself scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

Tickets for the Food City 500 race weekend events are available now at BristolTix.com and by calling (855) 580-5525(855) 580-5525 FREE. For a limited time, ticket holders also can purchase a pre-race SuperPass upgrade that's them the chance to watch the Doobie Brothers concert from the track.

"We are looking forward to playing for NASCAR in Bristol," says Doobie Brothers frontman Tom Johnston. "Race fans know how to have a good time!"

Adds singer/guitarist Patrick Simmons, "We love the atmosphere of competition racing, and the folks who come to these events. The Food City 500 is one of the most popular races of NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series. The concert is one of a three gigs that Doobie Brothers have lined up before they hit the road with Journey and Dave Mason for the San Francisco Fest 2016, which kicks off May 12 in Irvine, California, and runs until the end of August.
