I have just been on the phone to Ross Andrews, local wave photographer and Thanets sand art  aficionado. He was telling me about his new website Ross Andrews Artist as he knows I love a website or Twitter and all forms of social media. He asked about linking his Twitter and  Instagram accounts to the site and I had to remind him about his Facebook account. Just goes to show not everyone regards Facebook as the only place for social media. He was telling me about his recent exhibition at the Pie Factory  in Margates old town. His passion is for the ephemeral type of art. His sand art is only there for the space of time between the tide going out and coming back in, and his wave photography is just a split second in time. He was telling me of the countless hours waiting for the perfect shot and how he has to pit himself against the wind waves and weather. Recently he was out in wild weather and was smashed against the rocks, the price an artist has to pay was my reply.
