Day out to Tractorfest at Biddenden

I have told you all before I spend a lot of time on Twitter my twitter handle is @Promote_Thanet
and that is what I try to do. I retweet a lot of local accounts to try and tell people about the fantastic stuff here in Thanet and other stuff I am interested in. Well I was scrolling through my Twitter feed one evening last week and a tweet for Tractorfest at Biddenden drew my attention. I love vintage tractors, my dad bought a 1940's Field Marshall tractor on the day I was born, my brother always tells me the tractor was much more interesting than a baby brother! So plans were made to head out to Biddenden on Saturday. Its not far really just over an hour by car with me strapped into the back in my wheelchair and our friend Phil up front giving Heather directions.
We arrived just after 11.00 oclock and found the disabled parking decamped and joined the queue to get in. They were just opening up a further cash only desk to help speed things up and we went straight through so sorry to those people who had been standing in line patiently 😆. The stalls started immediately we were inside and there was a lot of stuff to encourage you to part with your money. All manner of traditional  crafts and homemade food honey jams beers and ciders. We stopped and watched the sheep shearing and then onto a falconry  demonstration. We wandered round the old cars and lorries saw stream engines and then onto the tractors and yes there was a Field Marshall so I was happy. By about three o'clock we were all hungry so headed of to get some food in the food section. While Phil and Heather Queued up I stuck up conversation with a girl waiting for her Pizza and she was a stallholder and had come to sell her goods from Herne Bay, you can't go anywhere without meeting someone you either know  or comes from home. We have been in far flung parts of the county and met people we know or went to school with. So it really is a small world. Here is a link to their website for Doggy Accessories The Canine Collection have a brows around and treat your mate. The are also on Twitter @caninecollect and on Facebook click here to find them

I took a few photos of the stall and said I would blog about there new venture selling doggie accessories. I love the website it is nice and easy to use and they sell their  wonderful accessories to customers far and wide. The internet has made the world an even smaller place there was me standing in a field talking to an international trader who sends dog collars to the USA and Europe and even Australia now that you can buy and and pay with PayPal, I love PayPal it makes the buying of goods on the internet so easy.
