A man was found dead early Tuesday morning (July 11) in a ravine near 17th Place South and Des Moines Memorial Drive (map below).

King County Sheriff’s detectives are calling the death a homicide, but are not releasing how the man died.

Police say that a citizen walking in the area – near the Glendale neighborhood – discovered the body just before 6 a.m. and called police.

The King County Medical Examiner will determine cause and nature of death as well as the identity of the man.
