Things are looking up for Graduates according to research by Income Data Services: the UK based employment research organisation. The “pay and progression for graduates” report conducted by the IDS says that employers are set to increase the number of graduates they hire by as much as 18% this year. The financial sector was found to be looking to hire 42% more graduates than it did last year. The manufacturing and service sectors are also optimistic. Both have an expected 22% increase in graduate recruitment. However it is not all smooth sailing for graduates. According to the report, 57% of employers are freezing their graduate starting salaries to those paid last year.
