I don’t think I left the House Monday OR Tuesday. So by about mid-day today, with three conference calls already done, hardly any sleep thanks to the kiddos, and just an awfully busy day, I just about went stir crazy. I’m amazed that I made it until after 6:00pm, when I finally got myself out of the house. I took the kids and met my sister for dinner and then went to her house for a bit after so my husband could get into a deep sleep before we got home (he gets up for work at 12:30am and I know he sleeps best when we can be out of the house while he gets to bed).

For my mental health (and physical, too) I’ve decided that from now on I will make a point to get outside every single day — even if it is just to take a walk around the block. My husband described it perfectly when I apologized to him for being jittery and stressed out today: “honey, it would be like if I worked 12 hours a day, had the kids with me at work, and had to eat and sleep at work, too without ever leaving or coming home.” He’s absolutely right – especially when I forget to get myself outside of the house everyday!

Reflecting back, I’m just shocked that I didn’t have the sun on my skin for almost three days! I honestly have been so busy I didn’t even notice it until I started to physically feel funny and ‘not right.’ Am I the only one, or has this ever happened to you?

PS: So far I am LOVING the nanny. I’m so happy with her. YAY
