Tony Sly was a frontman of a punk rock-band, NUFAN (No Use For A Name). It come from California, USA with Chris Dodge (guitar), Steve Papoutsis (bass), Rory Koff (drums), and Tony Sly (vocals), was formed in 1987.
On 2004, Tony Sly together with Joey Cape, two of the best songwriter in punk, released a debut album "Accoustic". Once you hear one of their song, you will eager to hear the rest of their album. Pick this album, and I promise you will not be dissapointed. This album is a masterpiece.
Tony Sly, proves that he is comfortable working in the mellow indie rock genre on his solo CD “12 Song Program.” He is not just comfortable working with this softer music, he is comfortable working with all of it’s sounds and tones and moves between these with ease. With solid vocal and strong instrumental, Sly serves a simple and pretty album. It has almost sounds like a country song. It is a quiet romantic, meaningful, and provoke thought that it's more than just being beautiful.
