According to the recent Survey released at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society's 2010 conference, fifty-eight percent of physicians who currently do not use electronic health records say they plan to introduce new systems in the next two years.

Of the survey respondents, 15% were currently using EHRs and 85% were not. During questionnaires about EHR Purchasing, •61% cited federal penalties for non-adoption; and 51% cited federal incentive payments.
