Feel, Felt, Found...

I just finished listening to a
DVD of a workshop with
Marlon Sanders as one of
the speakers.

Marlon refered to an
interesting old salesmen
technique. Feel, felt, and
found...

What it means is in talking to
someone, you relate to them
by saying in response to some-
thing they say with,
I know how you feel...
I felt that way too before...
and then I found...

It's a good example of a
really easy, natural way to
build a rapport with someone.
Most of us have used this before.
Not intentionally, just naturally.

The best way to build a relation-
ship with someone is to share
a similar experience, and be open
and forthright with them as to
what it meant to you. How it
made you feel.

So easy. So simple. Yet profound.
The best tools to build a know,
like and trust relationship are
very easy and natural.

When we speak to prospects we
make it difficult on ourselves by
trying to figure it out. No need
to speak at a person. Just get to
know them, and let them know
you care.
