Would You Buy A Franchise From Donald Trump?

Would you?

I’m serious: Would you buy a Franchise business from Donald Trump?

I say it depends. Follow along…

Who Did You Vote For?

Did you vote for Donald Trump?

If you did, and you’re satisfied with the job he’s been doing as President, I think you would buy a franchise from him.

(If Donald Trump sold franchises)

If you did not vote Trump, you probably wouldn’t buy a franchise business from him.

How crazy is that?

Specifically, just because you didn’t vote for the guy, it doesn’t mean you should pass up an opportunity. Right?

For example…

What if the franchise he was selling was:

  • Affordable
  • A great fit for your work skills
  • Populated with lots of happy, money-making franchisees
  • Available in your neck of the woods

Would you still not buy it because he was the one selling it?

Why? After all, you’re the one who wants to “be your own boss.”

A Short Story

Once upon a time, a certain gentleman, with expertise in the commercial real estate realm, decided to open a school. A University actually. It didn’t go very well. (For most of the students)  As a matter of fact, this “University” has been the subject of multi-million dollar lawsuits- and has been called a scam. So there’s that.

Now let’s take (President) Trump-the franchise salesperson, out of the picture.

Let’s say that the franchise salesperson you were dealing with seemed a bit “off ” to you. There was something about her…you couldn’t quite put your finger on it. Was it her tone? Did you feel that she was exaggerating some things. Could it have been the pressure you felt from her to make a decision?

My question to you is this: Would you buy the franchise from her if it was a proven opportunity, and it felt like the right one for you?

Will President Trump Disrupt The Franchise Industry?

Professionalism Counts

You’re more apt to purchase a product (or a service) these days if a professional is selling it.

Think about it: You have lots of choices these days. Little things mean a lot.

For example, I’m looking to have a nice-wooden Fence built around the moat in the back of my new Castle. (Kidding. I don’t have a moat. Yet.) I’ve called 3 fence companies so far.

3

Company #1 came across nice and professional.

I had called them a couple of months ago, and they gave me preliminary pricing. I decided to hold off until the Spring. Fast-forward to now. It’s Spring, so I called them last week to come over to take a look-and provide pricing.

The company representative told me they’d be happy to come over, but that the price would be going up because it’s “their busy time now.” Would you like to know what I told the rep?

Pass. I’m not going to pay more because you said it’s your ‘busy’ time,” now. They blew it because they decided to get greedy.

Company #2 came out to my Castle this week. The call we had on the phone went pretty well. Appointment was made. The salesperson called when he was en route. In-person, he was professional, gave me exact pricing, and showed me how they build their fences. I was pretty impressed.

Conversely, company #3 was supposed to be here at 9:00 a.m. (today) to take a look at the yard and give me a price.

I’m still waiting. (They’re 6 hours late)

What If Trump Was The Fence Salesperson?

What if Donald Trump was the salesperson for fence company #2?

(Or someone like Trump. Loud. Brash. Etc.)

Would I keep dialing around-would I search for another fence company to come by and give me an estimate?

Or

Would I just say “screw-it,” and buy the fence from company #2, even though I didn’t like or trust the salesperson they sent over?

Your turn: What would you do?
