I woke up a week ago homesick for Tirana and realized I could go back now because I’m back.

As you can imagine this year has been the most transformational of my life. Last night I walked to a cute little cafe to pick up one last dinner before leaving Italy and I heard these words.

You aren’t suffering like most women do because you didn’t focus on the loss, you focused on loving yourself more than ever before. 

I didn’t fall there. I deliberately chose it one second at a time. I didn’t do it perfectly, but I kept myself aimed at deep self appreciation. It not only healed me, it changed my entire life. I truly believe pain and pleasure are the two catalysts for lasting change and I experienced both in the last year.

I appreciate every teacher that comes to me.

And Nina taught me to be more present with myself and to love myself more deeply than ever before. This is not what we’ve been taught in the past to do. Focus on others. Focus on what you do for others. Serve. Serve. Serve. Help. Help. Help. Give. Give. Give.

I will never be tempted to do that again. 

I focus on me and what lights me up and everyone benefits. Crazy. Simple. Amazing.

I’m back in Tirana and found our home within a couple hours of landing.

I’m dancing in serendipitous moments one right after the other.
