Want to work in USA- Infosys is hiring Students straight from American Engineering Schools along with mix of experienced talent.

Infosys to hire 10,000 in US over next 2 yrs it will hire a mix of experienced talent and students straight out of engineering school.

As per our outlook the company is trying to minimize the effect of any H1B or work visa related restrictions in the near future. Globally all the countries are of the opinion that Hiring the students from their universities irrespective of their origin, should not create much impact on their society.

Infosys proposes to create training programs for the new hires in areas such as user experience, cloud, artificial intelligence, big data and digital offerings, as well as core technology and computer science skills.

“We will replicate what we do for trainees here. But we think the training period will be shorter as we think we can do some of the training online and we may not have to do the soft-skills training that we do in Mysore,“ Rao said. Indian IT companies have said they will boost their headcount in the US as they grapple with the possibility of the new and increasingly restrictive changes to the H-1B visa program, on which they are dependent. Wipro has said 50% of its headcount in the US will be locals by the end of the first quarter of FY18.

The National Association of Software and Services Companies has often said that the US has a skills shortage in the technology space. The aggressive hiring moves has led some analysts to speculate that the companies could spark a bidding war for talent, further crimping margins.

“Lateral hires have always come from our peers and yes, availability is less than in India. But the war for talent has always been there. The new thing is that now we will look at hiring more from colleges there,“ Rao said.

Infosys said the first hub would open in Indiana in August 2017 and would create 2,000 jobs in that state by 2021. “Infosys is committed to hiring 10,000 American technology workers over the next two years to help invent and deliver the digital futures for our clients in the United States,“ Vishal Sikka, chief executive officer, Infosys, said in a statement.
