Lectronics at IPC APEX 2017

During the week of February 13th, Jason Sciberras, Manufacturing Manager, and Tom Scales, IT Manager, attended Ipc Apex in San Diego, CA. While perusing potential new equipment vendors, and connecting with current preferred suppliers, Jason and Tom also had the unique opportunity to discuss the new trends and technological advancements, specifically related to the Internet of Manufacturing (IoM), within the electronics manufacturing industry.

Real-Time with IPC: Tom participated in i-Connect007’s Real-Time interview series on-site at Apex. In his interview, Tom talks about the Connected Factory from an IT perspective, and more specifically, how it enables Lectronics to make real-time decisions with the data collected from Lectronics 4.0 Connected Factory.  Watch it NOW!

Starting the Journey to the Smart Factory: Jason had the unique opportunity to participate in a roundtable discussion on the smart factory. IoM, Industry 4.0, the smart factory, call it what you will, but too many times the concept is just too large and unwieldy to even get started on. In this debate with Lectronics’ Jason Sciberras, Cogiscan’s François Monette and KIC’s Bjorn Dahle, Scoop’s Philip Stoten explored how best to get started and what KPIs and ROIs need to be considered.
