Amitabh Bachchan Steps In Multilingual Cinema with Randamoozham

The Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan may bring Mahabharata’s Bhishma Pitamah to life on the big screen via Randamoozham. This is a multilingual Movie based on M T Vasudevan Nair’s novel.

According to the director of the film, N A Shrikumar Menon, he is the perfect actor for the role of Bheeshma. On the other hand, the role of Bhima is said to be enacted by Malayalam actor Mohanlal.

The movie, Randamoozham (The Second Turn), basically recites Mahabharata from Bhima’s (one of the Pandava princes) perspective. As mentioned earlier, this movie is based on MT’s 1984 novel. Also, it is reported that the movie would have a budget of around Rs 700 crore to Rs 800 crore. Such a huge budget marks this movie, as one of the most expensive movies made till date.

It would be having two parts and is said to be shot in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, English and Hindi language. Further it would be dubbed in some foreign languages and all Indian languages.

This film would also find the contribution of a number of academy award winning technicians. Furthermore, the shooting of the movie is expected to commence by the end of 2018 and may get released in the theatres by 2019 end or 2020.
