Truly Inspiring Images From Deep Space

After beginning to explore the wonders of the Universe, humanity became fascinated with the inspiring images of the deep space. The photos are taken for scientific purposes, however, we cannot ignore the fact that these images are breathtaking and beautiful. Sometimes people find comfort in knowing that the universe is such a beautiful place and they use deep space pictures as a source of inspiration for their lives so without further ado, here are some of the most mesmerizing and inspiring images from deep space:

Orion Nebula

Orion Nebula is a diffuse nebula situated in the constellation Orion, south from Orion’s Belt. Orion Nebula is visible to the naked eye and people were fascinated by it since the Mayan civilization.

This beautiful picture of Orion Nebula was captured by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope and it was used to study the Orion constellation.

Carina Nebula

Another magnificent nebula in Milky Way is Carina Nebula, a bright and dark nebulosity that is situated at approximately 6,500 and 10,000 light-years from Earth. Carina Nebula is one of the largest and brightest constellations in Milky Way and it was discovered in 1752. Carina Nebula is not as well-known as Orion but it is just as fascinating.

Eskimo Nebula

Also known as Clownface Nebula, Eskimo Nebula resembles the face of a person with a hood on, hence the name. The nebula was discovered in 1787 and its central star resembles our Sun.

Helix Nebula

Helix Nebula is a planetary nebula discovered by Karl Ludwig Harding. This nebula is one of the closest nebulae to Earth and it is also known as the “Eye of Gold” nebula or “Eye of Sauron” nebula due to its shape that is similar to the eye.

Milky Way

The galaxy that contains our Solar System, Milky Way, was photographed numerous times, however, this picture is particularly fascinating because it was taken using an infrared camera that managed to capture cooler stars and heated dust that cannot be photographed in visible light.

Butterfly Nebula

Butterfly Nebula is another mesmerizing nebula that was photographed from the Hubble Telescope. It is believed that the center star of Butterfly Nebula was at some point five times the size of our galaxy’s Sun. This nebula is also one of the hottest places in the galaxy as a result of the explosion of the star.

Sombrero Galaxy

Sombrero Galaxy is a galaxy situated in the constellation Virgo. The galaxy has a shape similar to a sombrero and it has a central light and a dark ring of dust that create its shape. The galaxy is approximately 30% of Milky Way in diameter. Also, it is believed that a black hole lies in the center of the galaxy.

Saturn

The second-largest planet of our Solar System, Saturn, always fascinated people. The planet’s ring system is the reason many people are intrigued by this planet. The rings are mostly made of ice particles and a few particles of dust and debris. 53 of Saturn’s moons have names but there are at least 62 moons known to orbit the planet.
