Trading in resale rights products – A Few Questions Answered

The general understanding is if you own Resale Rights Products you can resell it, pack it. May be you can even pass on the resell rights to others. It all depends on the product creator.

Yet we do have some tricky questions.

Here are the answers to a few of those.

Are all resale rights products the same in terms and conditions?

All resell rights are not created equal- terms and conditions included.

Sometimes creators of the original products impose additional terms and conditions, like strict anti-spam policies. It means you cannot advertise the product by any scheme that is in violation of federal and international spam laws.

What is the difference between resell rights and Private label rights?

In the case of resell rights, you can sell resale right products in conjunction with the terms and conditions laid down in your license. This typically means you cannot change or edit the product in any manner whatsoever. And importantly, you cannot give credit yourself as the creator of the product.

In a private label rights you have more leeway. You can modify the product, put your own or your company’s name, and crack the product into several different products if you wish.

Obviously since you are provided with more freedom, private label rights are sold at a higher price.

Making a profit on resale rights products have always been a challenge to resellers. Resellers find it overwhelming because the market can be flooded with resellers of the same product.

One of the approaches resellers adopt is to advertize the products with an upsell. Upselling is a technique to induce potential customers to buy add-ons and upgrades in addition to the resale product to rake in more profits.

It is not for nothing you see so many resale rights products on the web.
