Chef Stan Langston, The Cape Cod Sauce Company



Stan Langston established Cape Cod Sauce Company in 2008. His career includes posts as Executive Chef at Messina Restaurant of Eastham; Banquet Chef at Hotel Sonesta; Kitchen Manager at Serendipity 3 in Faneuil Hall, Boston; Faculty Dining Room Chef at Harvard School of Government; Executive Club Café Chef at Bay Tower Room, Boston; and Banquet Sous Chef at the Wequassett Inn on Cape Cod.


Mixing bold rich flavors to create mouth-watering sauces is his passion. Some of his recipes are posted at the Recipe Czar search engine.


Stan designed recipes for Sauces n’ Love, a sauce manufacturer carried by Williams-Sonoma. While he was their Quality Control Production Supervisor, their pomodoro basilico sauce appeared in the September 2003 O Magazine’s The O List: A few Things I think are Just Great. Later that year, two Sauces n’ Love products won 2nd & 3rd prize at the Fancy Food Show in San Francisco.


The Johnson & Wales educated chef has participated in many food-related fundraiser events. He was invited three times along with celebrity chefs Todd English and Lydia Shire to Great Chefs of Boston. He is a six-time invited chef to the Spinazzola Gala to benefit the American Cancer Society.


Cape Cod Sauce Company’s locally crafted gourmet barbeque sauce flavors include:


Original Recipe BBQ Sauce” – bold chile cumin and vinegar flavors with brown sugar, molasses, hints of garlic and sweet onion


Cape Cod BBQ Sauce with Pineapples and Cranberries” - sweet pineapple and tangy cranberry layered on bold flavors of chile, cumin, onion, garlic and white balsamic vinegar


Cape Cod Fiery Habanero* BBQ Sauce“ – classic bold chile cumin flavors married with a lot of Habenero, the 3rd hottest pepper in the world. Not for the faint-hearted. This versatile classic staple is a great addition to any kitchen. Adding it to ABC sweet palm soy will create a delicious Szechuan sauce. Mixing it with mayo will create a spicy aioli.
