WWII: Women’s Air Service Pilots (WASP’S)

Presented by Ellen Snow

Looking back on women’s roles in history we can’t miss the role that over one thousand women played during WWII. These women were aviators and were known as the Women’s Air Service Pilots (WASPS). These female pilots overcame overwhelming cultural and gender bias because of their non-traditional roles. They faced injustices and inequalities throughout their service and life. Their fight for their rights spans more than seven decades and finally culminated in 2016.
