If you don’t know who Louise Triance, you really should by now. As MD of UK Recruiter, Louise has been a community leader for the Recruitment industry before we even knew there such a thing existed. A much needed voice and connector in the UK recruitment scene, Louise has been bringing together recruitment technology buyers and suppliers for years, and the good news is, one of her famous evens is happening right this week. The UK Recruiter Technology Showcase events is held on the 24th May 2012 and here’s a few reasons why you should go.

1. Value. Really good value.

Let’s face it, the conference scene has long since become a racket designed to fleece your pockets of your hard earned recruitment pennies and pounds. Louise’s commitment to the industry is amply demonstrated by maintaining an accessible price point for any recruitment business – only £20.00 per ticket. This is as close to cost-free as you can get, and the return to value to you and your recruitment business could be manifold. There are only 13 tickets left, and if were you, I wouldn’t hang about.

2. You get all the product pitches out of the way, fast

You got to a conference, you’re going to get pitched at – that much, we all know. Well, at least Louise is speeding things up by injecting a deadline on the pitches and making sure that there is no death by detail from any of the sponsors at the event. The fast pace will give you the opportunity to compare products and prices side-by-side rather be overwhelmed by one or two companies hogging the limelight with prohibitively long presentational pitches.

3. There’s actually some great products

Looking forward to seeing Monster’s SeeMore in greater depth, and developments on my fave’s MyResourcer.com and Bulhorn. It’s also great to keep an eye on the temperature of the ATS market, whilst video in the form of Cast Recruitment Video’s and IMeet finally starts making some headway into the UK recruitment scene.

Nothing can beat beating down suppliers than doing it with the power of the crowd. This is a great opportunity to connect with your industry peers, pick up the intel on your competition and get a flavour for what’s happening out in the market beyond the walls of your company.
