Standards organization CSA Group is launching a project to develop a new Standard NGV 4.7, Automatic pressure operated valves for natural gas dispensing systems. To undertake this work, it is seeking additional experts to serve on this technical subcommittee, looking for interested stakeholders who will actively participate and contribute to the development of this important standard through CSA’s accredited standards development processes.

The CSA technical subcommittee members will work in collaboration to develop the content of the Standard and to address alignment and harmonization as applicable with relevant international standards.

Concept for the new Standard

The scope of the standard will apply to automatic, Pressure Operated Valves used in compressed natural gas dispensing systems for vehicles.

What is expected?

• Active participation and willingness to work on a technical subcommittee electronically and in-person
• Attendance at meetings over approximately 18 months
• Ability to work in a multi-stakeholder environment, following the principles of consensus
• Strong interest and knowledge of the subject matter
