Tips for Winter Maintenance & Snow Removal on Decorative Concrete

Although it’s not Winter quite yet, this mornings frost reminded us that the time is quickly approaching. Before the first snow of the season falls, we would like to remind you how to properly care for your exterior Decorative Concrete during the winter months. 

Protect your Decorative Concrete finish from the snow, ice and cold of winter by following these tips:

  • Do not use chemical de-icers or salts.
  • For slip resistance, try bird seed, kitty litter or sand.
  • Always shovel with a plastic blade, never metal.
  • We recommend cleaning and resealing Exterior Decorative Concrete every 2 to 3 years, or as needed.
