1  SWEEP THE AREA

The area to be repaired will be swept or blown clean by removing all the aggregates, sand or water. After that position the infrared heating array over the pothole for 7-10 minutes.

2  MELT DAMAGED ASPHALT

The process involved heating the asphalt surface to a temperature of 300 degrees depending on the depth, weather and existing aggregate. The infrared heats up and melts your cracked and broken asphalt back into a soft, molten state.

3  RAKE, ADD, LUTE

Next, we rake the area deep, removing the top 1/4″ of deteriorated asphalt with new asphalt and the entire patch is luted into a smooth finish.

4  COMPACTION

Finally, when the fresh material is placed, it will be compacted with a multi ton vibratory roller or vibratory plate to grade the asphalt in a proper level. Because entire area was heated, the fresh patch is melded back into the surrounding asphalt.
