When Scotiabank approached us to execute a campaign for Canada 150, we wanted to use experiential marketing to take it one step further.

In celebration of Canada’s 150 birthday, Scotiabank invited their Latin American partners in Mexico, Peru, and Chile to experience Canadian culture. In total, we selected seven influencers from Latin America to travel to Canada and partake in an adventure across the East coast for their followers back home to see.


True Patriot Love


The purpose of this campaign is simple: show Latin America that Scotiabank is a Canadian bank. One-way communication of this message would not be sufficient or enticing enough to leave an impact on the target audience. Instead, Viral Nation strategized an influencer marketing campaign that would organically communicate the key message to engage key demographics.


Having seven influencers partake in this trip, we were able to leverage their unique personalities and perspectives to effectively deliver the key information. With over 350 posts, the social media creators showcased their personal experience in Canada. Through every activity and post, the message was crystal clear.


Together, Viral Nation, Scotiabank, and the Latin American influencers discovered the inherent beauty of Canadian identity. Beyond our colossal skyscrapers and iconic scenery, we are proud of our polite and welcoming nature.


The Results


With 357 posts spanning over 10 days, the influencers shared their Canadian experiences with their combined following of 60.8 million. As a result, #HolaCanada reached a total of 22 million viewers and garnered 1.5 million engagements for a total of 23.5 million interactions.


#HolaCanada is a representation of the level of strategic thinking and creativity that goes behind each campaign. Every client experiences our process, but most importantly, each case is developed on an individual basis.
