According to a report by Nación 321, President Donald Trump could attend the inauguration of Mexico’s President-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) on December 1, 2018.

“Trump has respectfully treated us”, says AMLO.

Mexico’s President-elect López Obrador said Friday in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, that he spoke by telephone with the president of the United States, Donald Trump.

“I want to take this opportunity to tell you that President Donald Trump has respectfully treated us and I have to say that. I have spoken to him by phone, we talked about free trade, about immigration issues and some agreements are already being made with respect to our independence and our sovereignty, taking care of not to humiliate our people, we are no more than anyone, but we are not less than anyone, “said López Obrador.
The next Mexican president said that until now the relationship with the government of the United States has been very good and he wishes with all his heart that relations will be maintained.
“We are united, we are neighbors, we do not want to be distant neighbors, we have to achieve a relationship of respect, of cooperation for development, a friendly relationship between the peoples and between the governments of the United States and Mexico,” AMLO concluded.

For President Trump, Mexico is a priority, and they are definitely analyzing it in the White House to make it possible for him to be here on December 1 and if he could not come, then the Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo would be the one coming to Mexico,” Rubin added.
Rubin said that it is also in the interest of the United States to strengthen communication with the Mexican Legislative Branch, in the context of the change of government and where a left majority permeates because it is a priority that the issues on the bilateral agenda continue to advance.
