According to media reports, an F.I.R has been filed against Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty. The reason for filing the complaint is even more shocking. Their ‘ Bhangi comment’ didn’t go well with some people and it had repercussions. Recently while promoting his film,’Tiger Zinda Hai‘ Salman Khan jokingly said, “I look like a bhangi doing this step”. On the other hand, actress Shilpa Shetty was quoted in an interview saying, “I look like a bhangi at home.“. These statements are now criticised by people for being disrespectful to Valmiki community.

“An FIR has been lodged against Khan and Shetty under relevant sections of the SC/ST Act and section 153A (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony) of IPC,” Barhat Rahul Manhardan, Superintendent of Police, Churu was quoted as saying.

The complainant belongs to a lesser know political organization “Rojgar Aghari Republican Party of India“. Amid all the drama, the vice president of the party, Kishore Masoom also said that they will be holding protests against the actor in front of Galaxy Apartment, Salman Khan’s house.
The complainant goes by the name of Navin Ramchandra Lade. Many incidents of protests in the state of Jaipur by the Valmiki community were recorded who demands an immediate apology.
