Singapore stocks open flat with negative bias after profit booking near key resistance 3250

Singapore: Singapore stocks  open on flat to negative bias, with the Straits Times Index lost 7 points and trading at 3113.6 at 11:38 AM.

Advance to Decline ratio stood at 94 to 124, after about 230.09 M shares changes hands.

Active traded counters were SweeHong up 0.002 at 0.007, RexIntl down 0.001 at 0.079 followed by Ezion down 0.001 at 0.052.

Top gainers included JSH USD, JMH USD, fortune Reit HKD while losers were DBS, UOB, and OCBC bank.

China Everbright Water issued its third tranche of Bonds. The Latest tranche of Bonds called “Panda Bonds” because they are yuan-denominated and from non Chinese issuer. Bond was subscribed 2.2 times over by qualified investors in China.

Vibrant Group: Vibrant Group’s looking to wind up its joint venture unit over illegal payment allegations. Earlier the two companies want to buy a freehold condominium in Kuala Lumpur.

Mapletree Logistics Trust: Mapletree Logistics Trust’s DPU came at 2 Singapore cents which was 5 per cent year on year basis and compared to 1.9 cents. REITs’ Gross revenue rises to $120.8 million almost 23% rise.

World Market


US stock markets closed on Monday for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. So lackof any news from US market.While Friday stocks moved sharply higher extending previous session gains on positive optimism of US and China trade war. The major US indexes ended the day firmly in positive territory.

The Dow up 336.25 points or 1.4 percent to 24,706.35, the Nasdaq jumped 72.76 points or 1 percent to 7,157.23 and the S&P 500 surged up 34.75 points or 1.3 percent to 2,670.71.

Oil sector stocks moved higher over the course of the trading session, raising Philadelphia Oil Service Index up by 3.8 percent. Other positive sector included transportation, computer hardware manufacturer.

Commodity Market


Gold Price: Gold continues to trade lower but every fall in price short lived. Gold trading range remains still $1276 on lower side and to higher side $1283 which is just small barrier.
