Leading With Too Much Lingo

Remarketing is the new reality for today's consumer.  Goods and services are finding us, and getting better at doing it by the second.  The ice skates find the hockey player Immersed in YouTube training videos after practice, the hot new IT app will at least aggressively solicit the coder, (unless he knows every workaround) and the onesies and diapers will eventually be drop-shipped to the new parents five months before the brand new addition to the family. 

What does that mean for successful sales people? 

It means that sometimes you have to take a step back and be careful not to lead with too much lingo.  If you spend your time away from the office researching the technical aspects of applicable trends and competition, it can be easy to become overly immersed in that sphere of verbiage that can so easily alienate good prospects.  Make no mistake, you need to know your product or service inside and out - just don't let those strategic nuggets sabotage potential partnerships.  🍊
