Fear of Success

Tags: personal

Nothing is easier than playing the victim in life.  In America, we’re overfed, overprivileged, and over-stimulated by modern technology.  Our social media pages are full of avatars of artificiality and make it all too easy to live in the past and not plan for the realities of tomorrow.  Discipline and hard work have become a thing of the past for many of us because most feel we can make it through life on talent alone.  The irony is that life would be much more peaceful and far less stressful if we cleared out all the junk that drags us down in life.  The secret to happiness isn’t in looking for ways to please yourself, but in seeking personal humility – reaching out to others.  There is comfort in familiarity, but there are greater personal rewards and enrichments in helping others help others.  It seems like a paradox, but it’s the truth.  Here are some simple concepts to try or revisit if you haven’t already:

Be a person of character and integrity.

Don’t think about it – take action.

Do the right thing.

Be a loving family member and friend.

Don’t take shortcuts.

Lead by example.

Pray and Meditate.

Be kind.

Stay organized.

Make it a great day – no one else is going to make it great for you.  🍊
