2018 has been a year of more positive change in the team at Mccarthy + Co Personal Injury Claims and Medical Negligence Solicitors.  We have strengthened our team considerably to improve the way in which we can take care of you.

You may have been aware that our conveyancing and probate specialist solicitor Cliodhna O’Regan was out for the first half of 2018 after the birth of her beautiful daughter Ava.  Cliodhna re-joined us in May and since that time has been working closely with Emer O’Regan to transform the way we work in our conveyancing and probate practice.  Cliodhna, Emer and the whole conveyancing and probate team have a lot of exciting developments planned and you can expect a lot of news in this area in 2019.  Watch this space!

Anne Marie McSweeney joined us in 2017 and is now an established member of the team.  Anne Marie’s particular area of skill and expertise is in dealing with and caring for people.  Given her passion for this area, in 2018 Anne Marie has moved into a central role in charge of welcoming and dealing with all callers to our office either in person or on the phone.  Anne Marie will be the first point of contact for many of you in dealing with us and she takes special care and pride in doing so.

Niamh Tobin joined us in March 2018 and has particular expertise and experience in dealing with the Personal Injuries Assessment Board.  Niamh is a key member of the litigation team and works primarily with Liam Crowley in dealing with Personal Injuries Assessment Board claims and Circuit Court personal injury and Medical Negligence Litigation.

Dylan Green joined us in the summer as a trainee solicitor.  Dylan is currently attending the Law School at the Law Society of Ireland in Blackhall Place in Dublin and we hope to have Dylan back with us full time from April 2019.

Maeve Jennings and Shane O’Sullivan joined us in September and October 2018 respectively.  Meave has joined the personal injury and medical negligence litigation support team and is currently working primarily with John, Liam, Deirdre and Niamh.  Shane has joined the conveyancing and probate support team and is currently working mainly with Cliodhna, Emer and Flor.

Madlyn Smyth also joined us during 2018 to work with us on social media and content creation.  Madlyn will help us in getting the word out on how we can best help people at McCarthy + Co. 

Maeve O’Flynn has been working with us for a number of years at McCarthy + Co. as an intern while studying law at UCC.  We were delighted to see Maeve graduate with an honours BCL degree earlier this year.  Maeve will be finishing up with us for now at the end of the year to focus on the next stage of her studies and we wish her all of the best.

Finally, with an expanded team we have new roles and challenges in order to ensure that everyone can perform to the best of their ability in order to deliver the client experience that we demand for you.  Deirdre O’Donovan will be known to many of you as someone who has been a key figure in our team for many years and has worked very closely with John.  While Deirdre will continue to work directly with John applying her considerable expertise and experience in helping to guide clients through the personal injury and medical negligence claims process, we are delighted to announce that Deirdre has also agreed to assume a new position as our customer support team lead.  Deirdre will lead our new and expanded team and has exciting plans for where she intends to take the team in 2019; it is all part of our constant striving to improve how we do things for you.
