How to solve the audio issues on Roku media player?

Sometimes the sound goes out while we are streaming the content using Roku. It is one of the frequent problems with Roku, and you also suffer from this issue then don’t need to worry as you can troubleshoot the problem by following the procedure mentioned below.

Roku is one the media players that allows you to watch television online at a lower price.  Although it provides you the best entertainment still sometimes you might face different problems with it like the bad picture quality, Slow streaming, Audio issues, etc. Thus today we will discuss some steps to solve the audio issues with Roku like the sound is coming in and out or there is no audio at all.

You might be using the Roku Box box directly with the television, or you might be using an audio/video device to connect to the Roku Box. So depending on the setup of your Roku box just follow the respective troubleshooting steps.

Troubleshooting steps for audio issues if you are using the Roku directly with the television:

  1. Ensure you have not press the “Mute” button from your remote.
  2. Verify the level of sound if it is enough to make the content audible.
  3. Ensure the volume settings are correct according to the T.V setup manual.
  4. Verify if the audio wire is plugging into the right input and output port. Also, make sure that it is tightly connecting to the television and the Roku box.
  5. Connect the Roku box with another input port on a different T.V, and if the sound works with that tv, then there is a problem with the entry port of your T.V. Thus get your T.V repaired.In case if it doesn’t work with another T.V, then there might be an issue with the Roku Ports.
  6.  Ensure the audio wire is not damaged because if it is torn up, then you should replace it with a new cable for sound.

Troubleshooting steps for audio issues if you are using the audio/video device to connect Roku:

  1. Ensure the input connections on made correctly on the audio/video receiver.
  2. Make sure the Mute button on your remote is not pressed to mute the television.
  3. Adjust the volume levels to verify if the device in on appropriate audio level to hear the sound.
  4. Ensure the Composite cable used for the connection is in good condition to transfer the audio signals else you need to bring a replacement wire for it.
  5. Check if all the sound connections are tight the audio cable is plugged tightly and into the correct port.

Hope your issue might get resolve by performing these simple steps, but in case you still face an audio problem then try to reset your devices. Take out the main power wire from the television and Roku, wait for 20-30 seconds and then plug in back the power cable. Now start the devices..
