Power shares were trading mixed with the S&P BSE Power index down 0.27 per cent at 1907.44 on Monday.
Shares of Adani Power, Adani Transmission, Bharat Heavy Electricals and ABB India were the top gainers in the index.
Suzlon Energy, CG Power and Industrial Solutions, Reliance Infrastructure and NTPC were among the top laggards.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 83.25 points at 10,610 while BSE Sensex was up 312.86 points at 35,293.88 around 02:23 pm.
Out of 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
Shares of South Indian Bank, JP Associates, Idea Cellular, YES Bank, Adani Power, Suzlon Energy, Reliance Communications, Kwality, Axis Bank, IDFC Bank, Dewan Housing, JSPL, Jet Airways, Dish TV India, Ashok Leyland, Vedanta and Infibeam Avenues were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
