In my bid at world domination of the Blogosphere (tongue firmly in cheek) and maybe act as a check on The Donald’s goings on (who me?) I’m publishing a map today, with lots of nice Republican blue bits on it.

Don’t worry, dear reader, I’ve no political ambitions nor do I want anything to do with US of A politics. It just so happens I seem to be turning a significant corner on my blog visitors at the same time America inaugurates its new President.

Back to the map… I, like my wife, love maps. This nice blue map you see on my blog is something I have never looked at before. It shows which countries in the world there are where people have visited my blog in the first few weeks of this 2017. It’s called a Location Analysis as presented by Google Analytics. The data is pretty significant, but probably only to me.

However, if there any indie authors out there then this may be a little bit interesting to them. What it really shows is how you can get visitors to the blog of an Independent Author purely by writing content that people want to read. I started this blog in October 2014. Not bad going for a one-man band. Okay it shows huge swathes of South America and Africa devoid of anyone interested in my ramblings, except South Africa… morning Alan, nice weather in SA? Alan’s my one and only fan club member!

There’s a slogan often used in reference to good content on blogs and websites: Content is King.

That makes me King of my particular castle… oh, and good luck Donald, you may need it.
