This is being sold as for fans of Stranger Things. I don't normally do horror, but I really love Stranger Things, so I'm nervously going to give this a go.
Someone to Love by Melissa de la Cruz (2nd January 2018)
About a girl's struggle with bulimia as the daughter of a politician who always needs to look perfect. Another book I will be reading for Mental Illness in YA Month.
Kids Like Us by Hilary Reyl (25th Janury 2018)
About a boy on the Autism Spectrum, who falls for a girl he thinks is a character out of his favourite book. I've heard such good things about this! Really looking forward to it.
Out of the Blue by Sophie Cameron (22nd March 2018 - 2018 UKYA Debut)
This is a magical realism novel that deals with grief. Angels start falling out of the sky, hitting the earth, none surviving, and everyone becomes hysterical, thinking the world is ending. But for Jaya, her world ended ten days earlier, when her mother died. Her father becomes obsessed with trying to find one alive, and uproots them to Edinburgh. Jaya hates his obsession, but it's only when an angel falls at her feet, alive, that she realises how important the angels are. Sounds exciting!
Renegades by Marissa Meyer (5th April 2018)
Marissa Meyer's new book! I am both excited for this book and wary. I love Meyer's previous books, but I loved that they were fairy tale retellings. This is not. So I'm hoping I love it as much as her previous books. The cover for this one has not yet been revealed.

Just three books reviews this month. I've not had a great reading month, sadly. However, I did read one other, but that reveiw will come in May 2018 as part of Mental Illness is YA Month.
- Close Your Eyes by Nicci Cloke - This was so good! I absolutely did not expect the killer to be who it was. Nicci Cloke has shown again how great she is at twists and turns!
- Blackbird by N. D. Gomes - This was so disappointing. It wasn't a murder mystery, it was a story about grief. It was slow, and the killer was predictable.
- Red: The Natural History of the Redhead by Jacky Colliss Harvey - Oh my god, this was such an interesting read! So fascinating to read about where red hair showed up throughout history, and, because of that, why there are the stereotypes about redheads that there are. Just brilliant!
