LANDSCAPES & LOOKING - 4TH GOOD REASON TO VISIT ZUMBERAK
This Sunday we had an interesting event in Žumberak, the religious holiday of St. Nicholas in the church of St. Nicholas in the local place Badovinci. This holiday marks the transfer of the bones of this saint from his native town Myra in Asia Minor to Bari in Italy, where they are still preserved today. This religious feast has long been celebrated here, especially in the local Greek Catholic Church of St. Nicholas, what is also the occasion to meet many local residents and friends of Zumberak. The Holy Mass was led by the local parish priest of Zumberak Marjan Jeftimov, and after the Mass cultural program with music and a local folklore group was held in front of the church, as you can see in these pictures.
As I have already written in some of the blog posts and mentioned in some youtube movies, we are implementing the "Žumberak - PERFECTA TERRA FUTURA" tourist project to promote this region as a land of tourism and futurism in order to link Zumberak's cultural and tourist attractions. Here is where we are.
In this post I add some interesting photo pictures of Zumberak.
Touristic guests of the hostel Flores and the rural household Podžumberak can order here with us all 3 daily meals. For foreign guests it is good to mention that in addition to English language, we speak well enough German and Italian as well.
