Extra notes: The advice is: use a rifle, not a shotgun. But that's impossible. Not, at least, if what you're seeking to do is stay honest and integral with your audience, and maintain the focus on writing, where it always should be.

I'm talking about book promotion, of course. Once again I must declare that it is a monumental waste of time.
